You can do it yourself if your very careful, there's loads of guides online about how to dismantle a PSP ;)

The little black direction button of mine acts up, it keeps sending people off to the left all the time.
I cleaned it but it isnt long before it sticks again, so Im going to have to take the screwdriver to it.

bought new faceplate and buttons and stuff after had put nice crack in mine off ebay for a tenner.

its ok to do as long as not still under warranty, because removing the front panel means you have to remove the warranty sticker to get to the screws, which unless you do V V V careful u will void the warranty

Dragging up an old post, does anybody know of a reputable company that can repair PSP's? I would rather drop it off somewhere in Sheffield, than post it for repair.

I repaired my own PSP, I changed the button circuit board.
I'd be happy to do yours if you want.. depending on what is wrong with it.

The console will not switch on, it had a splashing with cola. It was dried out, worked for a few hours, then died. Any help would be much appreciated. I have just called a computer shop in Woodseats who say they do repairs, but then found out all they do is post them off. I can do that!

Probably wants a new power board.

Only a couple of quid for the part. Not a big job to change it either.
If, of course, that is actually the problem. What with it being Coke, it's probably eaten through lots more.
