What's it like a around the oval at firth park we have been offered a property up there but i don't know what the area is like , is it a good bus route and shops

Suggest you hop on a bus and have a wander round Firth Park. Shops are plentiful, I was brought up there but that was in the 80's so I don't really know what its like now.

Best thing is a visit. I did that before I moved to my house, do it a couple of times at different times of the day. Then you see it in all lights.

It has a bit of a dodgy reutation but cannot say from experierce.

I live in Firth Park and get no trouble though.

I cant say for sure what the area is like as i only drive through it but it makes me lock the car doors as i drive through!

The house we have been offered is in the very low numbers and is nearer to barnsley road/tideswell road end, we have drove round a couple of times and not seen anyone about only the odd few kids

firth park is a nice area u here bad reports but its nice now put it this way its a lot better than where u live now trust me i got friends at firth park its nice an quiet

What are the house like for size of bedrooms on the oval, we have been offered one but workmen are still in so we can't go and look yet according to lettings we have been offered one nr to Tideswell road and from the outside it looks great apart from the garden being a dumpit site

Hi Abbie, the Oval is about as rough as you will get in Firth Park, the worst area being actually on the roundabout where all the shops are, no houses there though. A lot of burglaries and car thefts etc go on around the Oval so be carfeul. and be careful who you get to know....

Firth Park is NOT as rough as many people think, it has its share like all other areas, but not unduly so. Lived here 14 year, though I didnt take the OVAL when they offered it me, and I came from Kelvin and that WAS bad.
