I expect it will look very nice next to his championship medal and multiple player of the year awards.

Great players make a difference to a team. If he was that "Great" Man Utd would not have lost 3-0 to Milan in the 2nd leg, Lost 1-0 to Chelsea in the FA cup and lost 1-0 to West Ham in the last game of the season.
In all 3 of the above mentioned games he was noticeably not great.
Chelsea lost the Premiership because they drew too many games, especially during the Xmas period. Man Utd actually lost more games during the season.

Right so your argument is that great players never have off games and their teams win every game including ones where they only come on as a sub :rolleyes:

All the players you mention have had games where they failed to set the world alight, Henry in particular is notorious for going missing in big European games why is it you still call him a great player?

Ronaldo had a fantastic season in which he put in numerous match winning performances for his team and was a key player in winning the league. In contrast Kakka's team finished 4th 36 points off the top of Serie A so there were obviously many games in which he failed to 'make a difference to a team'. Yet you see fit to call him a 'great player' but for some reason United's not winning two games means Ronaldo isn't 'great' :huh:

So? If you discount the 8 point penalty Kakka's team still finished 28 points behind Inter so by your criteria Kakka can't be a great player as his team failed to win lots of games.

When Ronaldo initially entered the English Premiership he was infact a 'boy'. He lacked, as Pleck has stated', any end product and his tricks and step over's were making him look silly every time he 'fell over'.
Last season we saw flashes of what the 'boy' was capable of and some thought that maybe he could turn out to be a decent player. Then came the world cup where he did himself absolutely no favours what so ever.
Then came this season! Faced with hatred from rival fans and alot of patching up to do with some club team mates, he has infact 'catagorically' turned from a 'boy' into a man.
He has been nothing short of amazing! and thoroughly deserves his winning of the player of the year. I was almost hoping he would depart Man Utd as he is such an advantage for them but that rumour now seems to have subsided.
C Ronaldo can not any more be described as a boy, he can only be described as one of the best players in the world!

All have so much talant yet fail to live up to it due to either long term or irritatingly niggly little injuries!

A fully fit Robben would be on par with Ronaldo, providing he sorted out his consistency in performances.

I agree with all the above. Ronaldo is a fabulously talented winger who is matched by Robben, with their pace and skill to go past people.

Many would disagree! When Kewell was at Leeds he was infact one of the most sought after players at that time. Since moving to Liverpool he has consistently been dogged by injury after injury.

A fully fit Robben would be on par with Ronaldo, providing he sorted out his consistency in performances..
But that is just it. Robben isn't consistent, hence why he is nowhere near the level of Ronaldo. You couldn't even name Robben in the top 10 players in the premeirship going on his form since he came here!

Agreed, as i've stated in a previous post!!

Kewell is good but he hasn't got the sheer pace of Robben or Ronaldo which makes him less dangerous, of course most of the time Robben has all the pace of a corner flag.

Kewell's awesome.
