I want to know if i could possibly try and move into a certain area with age banding (40+), as i need to be close to my nanan to help her. Can you do this or not?, cheers. I mean council house before any1 asks. cheers.:)

Unless the property age band is reduced (de-designated for over 40s) its very unlikely that you could get one. Some blocks of flats that started out as age banded for over 60s have had the age limit reduced, so it is possible that the same could happen in the area you want. But the only time that is likely to happen is if there are no people 40 or above who want the flats. Sent email to the council requesting more on this. What gets me though is, i know of some1 whos way under 21 in 1 of these. Ok hes handicapped, but even so it still states 'must be over 40'!:rolleyes: |
