View Full Version : Virgin School - What did you think? hmr44 16-05-2007, 08:51 Did anybody watch this last night, it was strange!!! Can't believe they showed everything!! D2J 16-05-2007, 08:53 Dare I ask what it was about?!? Was it Virgins or something about Richard Branson? Tricky 16-05-2007, 08:57 Slimsid goes to Amsterdam to pop his cherry. KATIEB_23 16-05-2007, 09:11 Slimsid goes to Amsterdam to pop his cherry. :hihi: :hihi: hmr44 16-05-2007, 09:23 Slimsid goes to Amsterdam to pop his cherry. Aw I thought of him too, but isn't Sid a little older than that guy. D2J, it was this 26 year old guy who was still a virgin and he went to a 'Virgin School' in Amsterdam, where 3 middle aged women taught him all they knew and taught him how to.... do things. At the end he had a choice of whether he would like to lose his virginity to one of these women, to which he agreed and it was shown! It was horrible.... but funny! x Shiesh 16-05-2007, 09:25 I watched it but did not feel they showed everything....it left me rather disappointed... :hihi: I was also amazed at his 'pelvic thrusts' in the mirror with with sex coach but they was very little movement once he was actually on top and penetrating her!! MuteWitness 16-05-2007, 09:52 maybe he was on the small side and had to stay still in case it falls out? hmr44 16-05-2007, 09:56 I watched it but did not feel they showed everything....it left me rather disappointed... :hihi: I was also amazed at his 'pelvic thrusts' in the mirror with with sex coach but they was very little movement once he was actually on top and penetrating her!! I thought the same lol. She was soooo lying when she said it was good. Tricky 16-05-2007, 10:10 I watched it but did not feel they showed everything....it left me rather disappointed... :hihi: I was also amazed at his 'pelvic thrusts' in the mirror with with sex coach but they was very little movement once he was actually on top and penetrating her!! That's a bit harsh. The first time, unless very drunk, most men are desparate to minimise the sensation as any sudden movement and the whole experience will come to an abrupt and sticky end. Treatment 16-05-2007, 10:22 That's a bit harsh. The first time, unless very drunk, most men are desparate to minimise the sensation as any sudden movement and the whole experience will come to an abrupt and sticky end. This has put me right off my elevenses, a couple of custard creams and a cuppa. Pass the sick bag Alice.:gag: *Ryan* 16-05-2007, 10:30 Haha yeah i saw this, it was like a comedy/educational video! Bless him! It was pretty hard to watch at times, come on 26 and... a ... paper boy!?! But made my day, none the less :D *Twinkle* 16-05-2007, 10:32 Did anybody watch this last night, it was strange!!! Can't believe they showed everything!! Everything?! lol! I missed this! Cant believe I went out for civalised drinks when I could have been watching this lol D2J 16-05-2007, 10:35 It was pretty hard to watch at times, come on 26 and... a ... paper boy!?! Only Leonard De-Thompkinson (http://www.channel4.com/entertainment/tv/microsites/T/that_peter_kay_thing/images/main_414x260.jpg) was older I guess :hihi: cressida 16-05-2007, 10:38 why don't they just have another channel called Voyeurism? Rooty 16-05-2007, 10:41 I just couldn't understand why the guy wore boxers and underpants!  All in all though it was a very strange programme! Belinkabelle 16-05-2007, 10:53 It was indeed odd. I could only wonder whether he's likely to develop some sort of pathology surrounding sex now. If losing his virginity had come about (:hihi: ) as more of a natural progression/drunken fumble/whatever counts as a 'normal' way then fair enough. Unfortunately I felt that the whole experience could do more damage than good. Sure, they taught him the technicalities, but nothing really about how to go about meeting a girl or having a sexual relationship in the real world. I don't see how having calculated (and most likely paid for) first-time sex with a woman (who by his own admission) he didn't find sexually attractive is going to help him find love, which towards the end of the programme he admitted was what he was really looking for. Still, I hope he's doing ok. D2J 16-05-2007, 10:58 I just couldn't understand why the guy wore boxers and underpants!  In Amsterdam you need a lot of protection :hihi: hmr44 16-05-2007, 11:01 I just couldn't understand why the guy wore boxers and underpants!  All in all though it was a very strange programme! Haha I know, I thought that!! I'm surprised there wasn't a locked metal pair under there too!! Bless him, think he had problems - it did say he had learning difficulties when he was younger. Bet some equally strange young woman was watching and instantly fell in love, and they'll meet and it'll be a happy ending! I hope so anyway! x .Gareth> 16-05-2007, 11:09 Im not sure what was worse..being a virgin at 26..shopping for undies with your nan or how neat he packed his case..lmao sarah xx Shiesh 16-05-2007, 11:09 I just couldn't understand why the guy wore boxers and underpants!  All in all though it was a very strange programme! He went shopping and bought them with his Nana....LOL!! She prob thought layers were appropriate for Amsterdam....afterall she was a wise old woman....:hihi: I liked the line, My name is James and I am a nice guy.... he even said the 'I still love you' in a role play for a school reunion.... Rooty 16-05-2007, 11:22 He went shopping and bought them with his Nana....LOL!! I know! I thought to myself you don't introduce yourself as a 'nice guy'! And i do think the woman with him at the time of the role play should have tried to work more on his social skills, if that was real then the woman would have been so freaked out. "I still have feelings for you" and "i still love you" - i think she should have said that he probably wouldn't get a very positive response to that. Same as when he was stripping in front of that other woman...she should have told him to just undress normally, i was cringing for him! Does anyone remember a programme that used to be on BBC called 'Would Like to Meet'? They used to work on confidence/attitude, dress sense, etc. to help people who were shy or whatever to get into the dating game. I think that guy would have benefited more in the long term from something like that. Shiesh 16-05-2007, 11:42 It is a shame after keeping his virginity for so long he ended up losing it to a middle aged woman to which he admitted he felt no attraction....I would have expected him to tell her 'thanks' but 'no thanks' and work on meeting a woman and losing his virginity to someone he had immense feelings for...really sad!! I bet he lives to regret it .....most of us to wish we waited til the right person had come along OR at least someone we had feelings for...even it if was a let down for many !! The first time is never fantastic but it should still feel 'special' :( hmr44 16-05-2007, 11:45 They probably offered to pay him extra for it. I don't think he'd have done it otherwise! Can't believe that dark haired woman had a boyfriend too! Can you imagine how he feels about her job lol. x bladesufc1 16-05-2007, 12:43 on the UP side of this programme dont you think it's a good way of learning children sex education? (obviously without the sex) can you imagine it at school, a naked women / man showing their bits of and showing them which buttons do what!! lyndix 16-05-2007, 12:49 maybe he was on the small side and had to stay still in case it falls out? :hihi: :hihi: almost wet myself!:D slimsid2000 16-05-2007, 13:12 Yes involuntary celibates are funny aren't they?:loopy: "Right, now this Pakki went into a bar and said.........." By doing so he made himself fair game. slimsid2000 16-05-2007, 14:55 No one forced him to appear on television. By doing so he made himself fair game. it was more a point (obviously lost on you) about what is and is not acceptable to laugh at or fair game as you oput it. Himupnorth 16-05-2007, 15:20 Slimsid I thought you were opposed to political correctness. Doesn't that mean there are no boundaries where jokes are concerned? And this from the man who supports Bernard Mannings right to insult whoever he likes and to hell with it. JBee 16-05-2007, 15:37 This programme was the funniest thing I've seen in a long time. Oh how I howled at the horrifying sight of his little feet twitching as that brunette woman took a 'hands on' approach! How those hookers kept a straight face I will never know. Was pretty shocked at how graphic it was though (does this mean I'm getting old?)... I don't know if the British public needed to see his willy so many times, but my god did it make for some hilarious television. And SlimSid, sounds like you're just jelous at how enterprising our friend the paper boy was! ;) donuticus 16-05-2007, 16:10 This sounds really funny. I it repeated any time soon ? medutis 16-05-2007, 16:23 He went shopping and bought them with his Nana....LOL!! I really wish you hadn't reminded me of that scene... Shiesh 16-05-2007, 17:32 This sounds really funny. I it repeated any time soon ? It truly was hilarious !! My hubby had to draw the curtains just in case any passing neighbours saw the TV and thought WTF are they watching!!!! :hihi: :D :o EdnaKrabappe 16-05-2007, 18:53 Guess what I'm watching via 4OD now! I'll update in a bit! :) hmr44 16-05-2007, 18:59 I really wish you hadn't reminded me of that scene... Ewww i know! And his face :o It truly was hilarious !! My hubby had to draw the curtains just in case any passing neighbours saw the TV and thought WTF are they watching!!!! :hihi: :D :o Haha I had to turn it down in case my mum wondered the same... EdnaKrabappe 16-05-2007, 19:41 There was a programme on like it a few years ago where a disabled guy went to Amsterdam for similar reasons. I felt really sorry for James, it just seemed he'd probably had developmental delay in his speech, probably would have benefitted greatly from staying back a year at school. He's very articulate now. Unfortunately I can think of many people I know of, who are less socially acceptable than him. He's the sort of person you wish could go and repeat secondary school again with a bit more nounce behind him. He's not highly unattractive to look at - reminded me a bit of a Ralph Fiennes type person. And I'm glad he's got a job more in keeping with his age now. The strip scene at the end made me giggle and the double pants (what was with that?) I do think he is still separating sex and love and probably will do for some time but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I hope he gains something from it, even if it's just a better knowledge of his own body. However I think he is looking for love rather than just sex so perhaps some more confidence lessons would help... Old_Bloke 16-05-2007, 19:55 I felt really sorry for James, it just seemed he'd probably had developmental delay in his speech, probably would have benefitted greatly from staying back a year at school. He's very articulate now. I'm sure his mum said that he did an extra year at primary school, but that just led to him being bullied at secondary school. I think I might try double pants tomorrow to try and figure out what the benefits are. I guess I'll be having hot nads all day :) dibsy 16-05-2007, 20:14 I think I might try double pants tomorrow to try and figure out what the benefits are. I guess I'll be having hot nads all day :) ....and don't forget you have to wear 2 t-shirts like he did with the sweatshirt on top. We nearly wet ourselves when he was doing his so called strip tease before his sex session....it now begs the question will his nan and his mother watch this programme!!!!! :gag: :gag: :gag: waxonwaxoff 16-05-2007, 20:21 it was more a point (obviously lost on you) about what is and is not acceptable to laugh at or fair game as you oput it. Hi slimsid try not to be to offended (although very difficult im sure). Can i just ask and feel free to ignore me if it is too personel. But have you put a strong emphasis on the first time being with the perfect person and at the perfect time?I think this is more commen then a lot of people would admit. I think although how the man on the telly did it is not ideal (im sure he himself would have prefered it to have happened in a loving relationship) Maybe having done it now takes the pressure off and leaves him free to find a partner in a more relaxed manner? In reality the first time is rarely perfect and a lot of the time a complete disaster. mrmist 16-05-2007, 20:24 What you had there I think is a chap who, for a fair number of years now, has been using his virginity as an excuse not to meet any women or engage in many social situations at all. Now he's lost his virginity instead of being a sad guy who's a virgin he will be a sad guy who has had sex once, but he will no longer have that virgin tag to hide behind or blame anything on. Bizarre programme really. My work colleague theorised that he'd agreed to have it shown because the programme had paid for him to go to Holland and take the course - after all how else could he have paid for that through a paper round? You could tell from the shots of the guy walking around town with the map pressed to his face, the fact that he shops with his gran, and that he wore two pairs of pants and did a ridiculous stripping dance that the guy still has no clue how to operate in the world. It's a shame really, but I dunno what kind of course he needs to take for people to teach him that. StarSparkle 16-05-2007, 20:53 I haven't watched this programme, as it sounds like the typical sort of tacky and exploitative tv that makes for very uncomfortable and unpleasant viewing. It really concerns me that highly vulnerable people like this particular bloke can be used and exploited so badly by tv companies, for the sake of making a television programme. Has anyone thought how this could psychologically affect this bloke in the longer term? Are the tv company going to offer him back-up counselling if his confidence is even more damaged by people's reactions to him after this programme has been shown? The tv company has taken shameful advantage of a desperate individual here, and I can't believe the tv watchdogs appear to be letting this kind of programme go ahead. It's as bad as Big Brother, taking on emotionally-damaged people as housemates, in the hope of getting some kind of breakdown to 'entertain' the viewers. It's about time this car-crash tv stopped. Where is the human spirit and human dignity in all this? I despair, I really do.
