I went to the Last Laff Comedy Club last night at the Lescar Pub - Sharrowvale Rd.

It was my first time here, although I have been to Jongluers and Comedy Store in other cities.

It was a good night and costs £6 to get in, the compere and host is Toby Foster (Radio Sheffield in the afternoon) and you get 2 other comedians.

But the place is tiny and it was red hot in there last night, and most of the students have gone home!, I can't help thinking that we are lagging behind other cities again.

I think its time we need a proper venue as a comedy club.

i used to go there all the time but reckon toby foster has been the only funny person on recently which isnt worth £6 for his 10min compare routine.

let me know if its improved...

When the council held their public display for the redevelopment of the city centre their display for the redevelopment of Leopold Street included plans for a comedy club. Whether this actually happens is anyone's guess.

Yeah Toby was probably the funniest last night, the others were just OK. So I guess its not improved much.
