Hi,

A group of about 20 want to go out for a meal/drink near Christmas. I said I'd find somewhere and sort the booking but I'm not having much luck finding what I want.

We want a nice pub preferably in the City Centre and a traditional christmas meal.

Has anyone got any ideas?

Thanks for any help offered!

The Crosspool tavern do a excellent Xmas dinner, its a carvery & the bar is quite nice to have a drink in, its not the city centre but only a short bus/car journey. Not sure of the price this year but when Ive been in the past its been quite reasonable compared with some.

The Wig and Pen on Campo Lane is fab. Really good food, altho it's a little more than your average pub price wise. But, you get what you pay for...

K Pasa on West St is also a good giggle when there's alot of you.

Also, a couple of years ago I organised a Xmas do at the Nursery Tav on Eccy Rd. They were really good, they even set us up a massive table at the back (but this was before it was refurbed).

And the other year I organised one at Boardwalk up at Valley Centretainment, which wasn't too bad either. I also got a 20% discount voucher for a future visit because I organised it.
