Is anyone on here a member of the Sheffield 100 Forum? I've just become one and would be interested in finding out what views are about it before the next meeting

I'm also a new member and have just recieved my invite to a discussion on DEL Customer Service!! (Oxymoron?)

I have skeptical reservations as to whether it is a tool by which they can claim to have had "consultation" and now have "public approval" for actions/changes that they want to go ahead with.
My experience of council contact in the past has evidence of this occurring.

However, I am equally open to the possibility that they are trying to understand what we really want and will adjust policy accordingly.

I am going into it with an open mind and hope that we can effect change for the better. As long as I feel that we are not being used as a rubber-stamping process, I consider that participating to try and effect change is way, way more important than moaning on the sidelines.

Your thoughts??

I have been a member for the last 2 years and I attend regularly to the discussions.

Are you going to the one in December.

Yes, the one in December will be my first.

I am also sceptical about how effective this process is, but think it is worth joining and trying to find out.

What are your views on it Rosie?

Hi Katya

You have a good discussion and you feel as though you have achieved something, if you actually do I hope so but lets be practical.

You meet intresting peole and discuss worth while topics, we discussed last year about sport in sheffield and if we should encourage it more because of all the unfit over weight people, that was very intresting but have not seen anything from it yet. I will keep my fingers crossed.

It will be good to see you there I will pm you with what I look like so we can meet and then you know someone. Although the droups you sit in are pre arranged to have a good contrast within each group.
