TSUNAMI WARNING - SHIP ALREADY SUNK
A tidal wave of tears, thought to have originated off Canada around 16:00 GMT on Sunday 13th May, is reported to be heading across the Atlantic towards the UK.

Thousands of rats have already sighted leaving a sinking ship, 25 miles WNW of Rockall. (A cheap jibe could be intimated as to the nature of the ship’s cargo, but details are being withheld in the interest of community relations :) )

Whereas the Titanic was previously thought to be unsinkable, the seaworthiness of this vessel had already been recently scrutinised by many parties, but assurances had been given.

Early reports have suggested that irreparable damage and holing was caused by a blow (in a movement of some navigational precision), inflicted by a whale * (thought to have been previously captured by the same ship, before effecting an escape.)

Ongoing investigation is likely to focus on the poor stewardship of the captain and fellow officers, and various members of the crew going missing during two vital hours. It is already well known that the mental state of Captain Warnock, has been regularly questioned.

Meanwhile, apart from hauling the surviving officers “over the coals”, the owners of the ship continue to enquire why two known Argentine Pirates have not already been executed. One independent source is believed to have stated:- “It’s a pity that committee weren’t on board!”

Whilst these incidents are not expected to have a huge impact on most of Britain, the authorities (especially those in Avon and North East Essex) are concerned about the amount of jetsam and flotsam (of a type unseen for many a year in those parts) widely expected to arrive some time during the autumn or winter.

* of a man- It was the Radio 5 LIVE commentary team, who described him as being a bit overweight.

Sorry i remember you asking me if "i had ever been to a game?"

I just wondered after when i made all the effort of telling you just how much you are wrong that you didnt swallow your tongue and apologise????

It seems to me that you have no real interest in football, either that or mabe Wendy arent doing enough to give you anything to talk about, therefore you find the need to insult real fans who care about their own team!

So there fore I have no real interest anymore of reading any of your posts, this is due to the fact that like the one above, they make no real sense and get no valid comments across....if you ask me, being honest everything you write tends to be a right load of b**locks, it's c**ks like you who ruin this site!

I noted you had replied and the content (at a time not convenient to reply)... but on what thread and which post it related to, I have subsequently failed to identify.

My comment was in some jest – tongue in cheek – (message boards don’;t have a tone) to whatever it was you had typed at the time, and was probably also influenced by previous posts of yours.

If people post on here a few minutes before a game their team is involved in kicks off, it usually means they are not at it…
(Unless they have a laptop with them :) ) but it does highlight such.

There are a number of reasons people miss games :- choice, illness, work etc.

One reason I had overlooked, was that the person (in this case you) might well not have been able to get a ticket… for that particular game … and if that, illness or work was a reason - apologies. … especially if it was a sore point.

Respect to you for following/supporting your team… but not everyone (especially others on here who I have clearly incorrectly tarred you with the same brush as) is like you.

I would be interested in reading a report of your trip to China.
Pm me the url if you have posted such on here, and I missed it.

...,. lest my true feelings not be known... I posted this yesterday.
It appears to have been ... moved

I know I’m almost certainly coming from a different angle to most people on here, but listening to all the cocky, crowing, cockneys on the radio this morning, is even making me feel sick.

I actually offer genuine sympathy to all fair minded long standing Blades, like HappyHippy.

We all know how sickening it is, even more when it is perceived as being unjust. I think that this eventually will be proved (which a five million pound fine indicates), but by the time the lawyers and FA sort the mess out, it is unlikely any points will be deducted from the Hammers this season
(But you never know, it might even save one of our two teams from relegation from the Premier in April 2009 !!!!)

In addition, I am sorry to see Charlton (an honourable, good club) drop. Years of good work undone by two bad managerial appointments.

But, to the “We are Premier League boys”, who have been preaching to me about the delights of Colchester etc... I'll be in touch...

…A bit.
That may surprise a few people, but I can assure them that any sympathy is not extended to those who posted on the “How good to be a Blade" thread.
(Really Chuffy!!!!)

Having being through it a few times, I know what it feels like for genuine fans. I felt sorry for Ipswich when we put them down on the last day - 86

One poster on here recently reminded us about 1990 (didn’t they FD !) , but I’m not a person to hold grudges. Life is too short for that.

I don’t intend to sift through thousands of posts to see who said what, when, and then try and act as judge and jury (or this thread to become a confession box, and ask anyone to seek repentance from the Lord), but I have noted you getting a little bit excited a few times about being in a higher league, than my team.

(Had your team stayed (or indeed still end up staying) up, no doubt you would have continued in that vein on here, and irritated like the Hammers fans I have previously mentioned.)

In view of such, please now consider, and not be surprised that this may just be the reason some people may come back and “had a go at you”, now that things have levelled out.

Going back a bit, I didn’t gain any satisfaction from the relegation of United in 1994.

Having already suffered far more pain from Everton, than you Blades will ever inflict on me in my lifetime (much of it whilst working with the most one-eyed Evertonian you can find, and by God there are plenty of them - it must have been one of them who invented the monocle!); I had already got it into my head and heart that THEY were going down that year.

(The main “one eyed” former tormentor is ageing now and not in such good health. He may even go to his grave, without ever seeing his team relegated in his lifetime.
THE B*ST*RD !!!)

(Off hand I can’t remember when you said you started going, but we were both in the top division then. ) I would have been quite happy for a state of affairs to have continued to exist, with both our clubs staying there, but both pressed the self-destruct button over the next few years. A pity.

I’m signing off now - probably until the fixtures come out
Have a good summer everyone.

Think you might have me mixed up with some other poster geocol.
Only posted once on the aforementioned thread and it was a lame joke in response to a fellow Blade joking that he would rather have his legs cut off before going to Hillsborough.

I was only teasing, Chuffy my friend.

I didn't intend to post for a while ... but found this...

http://www.exitproductions.com/amc/songs/songoftherats.html

Song of the Rats Leaving the Sinking Ship
found on: Love Songs for Patriots

Once you rode a tide, it was always flowing out towards the sky
It was like a dancer who followed your step
It was like a lover who could take you to the dawn
It was like a history you could throw away
yeah...
Now the sea is throwing back all the voices who don't want to drown
Every wave is like a soldier who will fade back into the fear
where the soldiers are made
trapped with your first class papers on a lonely dock
where the future is a luxury to mock

You can laugh, you can cry, you can even bitterly grieve
But you can't deny that it's time to leave

Your indecision is poison, worse than broken bones or the coffin
You're either standing still or you're running out
You're like a safety door that's stuck and won't open
for a fire or a summer day
All you do is tire

But you don't have to try - everyone wants to be deceived
But you can't deny that it's time to leave
I swear you wanna say goodbye even more than you want to breathe
But you can't deny that it's time to leave

The enemy always lies
Hides like a match in a lump of coal
He won't use his eyes
He hates you for your soul
He hates you for soul...
