So the man himself said on Calendar tonight, regarding Warnock talking to the media about his managerial position before yesterday's game.
"I wish he hadn't have mouthed off to the press about his contract. It must transfer to the players in some way."

Waddaya think?

Sorry to be horrible - but Warnock is taking the pish out of you blades good and proper.

First - he was running his mouth about Man Utd fielding a weakened team.. yes we did, but we want to win against chelsea in the final this weekend - its a tactical measure to ensure our best players are fresh.. simple as.

Sheff Utd should have done better all season and didnt, and now all I hear is a lot of crying about west ham 'should' have been deducted points - which I'm sorry to say - wont happen.

AND now Warnock is on the verge of leaving because he does not want to manage in the lower league again.. shows a lot of respect for your fans does it not

Neil Warnock has said his greatest ambition was to take the Blades into the premiership. As soon as that happened, his ambition was fulfilled. So he's gotta be thinking, 'if utd go down, so what? i've done my bit.' That's what i think anyroad.

He says that he want to continue managing in the Premiership for another 2 years. I can't see another other club wanting him as a manager.

A press conference has been called at the Lane for Wednesday morning and I'd guess it's more to do with Warnock rather than the Tevez case!

Glad Warnock resigned if Utd had, had a better manager they wouldn't have gone down and lined his pockets with money that should have been spent on players.

He only seemed to buy players that shall we say, gave him a back hander...He showed no passion when the team needed him most and would have got sacked last season unless they went up!

At each of the clubs he managed before, he upset the fans on purpose to get a better contract and leave soon afterwards. Good riddance

TTMan, Most fans who Warnock has managed previously hold him in a high regard because he has only ever really improved sides.

Leave the man his dignity.
After all he did get United promoted. He did have his bad points and weaknesses but I don't think that his integrity and honesty were at all questionable.
His commitment to United was never less than 100% and this should be remembered.
He gave it a whirl and was found wanting in his strategies in the PL.
Doesn't make him a bad person or bad manager. :|

What absolute nonsense Warnock would have been the most popular manager in our history had he been Mr Nice Guy, OK at times he was a King size prat with his verbal tripe. Fact,Warnock joined when we were at the bottom end of the championship with dwindling attendances and going downhill.
With with the right manager we can be back where we belong & OK wendies
I believe both Sheffield sides should be in the Premier League.

Alright, smart arses. If he was so committed to your cause how come he's gone to Leicester, who offered him £800,000. Defeats your arguements...

He has also been known to buy players past their sell by date that previously played for him and they only play when he thinks the team will win. He also was not too convincing when when they lost first blaming the refs, when team solection was iffy to say the least.

People dont go round touting their wares, when they are a relegation battle and its within their power to keep the team up. Such commitment can only happen in Football.

After he had touted his wares, got a club interested, he then upset the fans, they asked him to go that gave him excuse to ask to leave. He already had another club ready with a better offer.

He subsequently left putting a face on that he was hard done by, but moved to a better paid job. Its funny how people feel he's been hard done by, when he limited players to less that he was getting himself, fact ask to check books if your "A" shareholder. Matter of record if you own some of the original shares

What are you on about TT?

Mr Warnock, bless his cotton socks loves Leicester more than United. But off course Leicester had a job at more money...If he loved United as much as he is on record as being would have stayed there no matter what the pay.

I would look at the start of the season on-line to see what he says after a few matches at Leicester. It will be on the lines of " I've always been a Leicester fan......it has always been an ambition of mine to manage Leicester....I'm not doing it for the money..."

"At my previous clubs it was not my fault for them going down, it was the fans, the board, the players, I never had any money etc etc"

That's what happened before and it will again. He's only in it for the money and he would get more respect for admitting it. He may have three houses, three cars and aal the things a fan would have but these have been paid for for years.

So why didn''t he go to pompey when they offered to double his money?

Also it is only a rumour so far about NW with Leciester City job.

So TT, he's in it for the money. Well, who isn't? And what would you sooner see? A Warnock at the helm of a United side sitting at the foot of the Championship come Christmas failing to see that it's his leadership that has placed the club there, and yet because he's a dyed-in-the-wool Blade he refuses to leave the club?

If he's only in it for the money, then why the heck did he stick it out with United for so long. Everyone knows that even in the Championship he was one of the most poorly paid managers? (He stuck it out to see his dream come true: that of managing the club he supports reach the Premier League).

Far from aportioning blame, left, right and centre, he had the balls to attend a press conference to state the reasons for his imminent departure. He did this with the interests of the club at heart. He stated himself that his leaving gave the club the chance to employ a new manager who, given the fickle nature of most football fans, might be given more time to get things right on the pitch. It appears at present that he and McCabe part on amicable terms.

Warnock and McCabe dragged up a club going nowhere but into receivership 8 years ago and got them into the top flight of English football and close to being debt free. How many other clubs would swap places with us for that?

In walking away NOW, Warnock has more dignity than many who remain in the game. He'll always be a Blade but is professional enough to steer his interests toward another club. True, maybe there's more to come 'out of the wash' (News Of The World in a week's time maybe?) but your personal attack on the man seems off target to me.

Did you buy your season ticket before we were relegated? If so, maybe that's why you're feeling so bitter.
