I have just had a message passed to me that a Bradfield School bus has been involved in a collision. Thing is I cannot get in touch with my wife or sister in law who's daughter goes to Bradfield school.

Does anybody else have any information if this has happened and if so where it has happened so I can get a message to a relative?

Have you tried to contact the school? I think the number is 0114 286 3861 (from their website)

I hope everyone concerned is ok.

As I am not a pupils parent they probably wouldn't tell me and I don't want to say I am just in case.

I'll keep listening to local radio and trying my wife's mobile.

I can't think of any other way of finding out other than phoning the school or listening to local radio (BBC Sheffield or Hallam). Fingers crossed for you.

Incidentally, I saw one of the Bradfield school buses drive past my house towards Middlewood at the usual time...

Edited to add: Location of Bradfield School (http://www.bradfieldschool.com/department/locate_us/)

I drove past a crash on long lane about 20 mins ago there was an old type single decker bus parked at the side of the road and a brand new Jag embedded in the wall, from what I saw the bus didnt look damaged but the Jag certainly was. I hope this will put your mind at rest. Police were on the scene.

The girls on our road who go to Bradfield are home safe and well, it must have been a different bus

That's the one that goes past my house.

Any idea what bus your sister-in-law's daughter gets RazorSHarp? I'm sure you'd have heard by now if there was bad news

Sorry for delay, sounds like everyone on the bus is OK, the Police were keeping the kids on the bus and as all kids have mobiles they were all calling each other to let them know whata happened no one could get in touch with them. My neice is safe and well.

Now we seem to know what happened, maybe this thread should be renamed "Stolen car hits bus".

The current title is somewhat misleading and suggests that it is the bus that has crashed.
