as nice weather is on its way, we are wanting to start going on walks as a family, considering trans pennine trails, but have a baby and a 2yr old is there any that are ok with prams or should we get a back carrier for her? we have a car so getting to the start point isnt a problem.

We went to the local library and found some local books for local walks :)

one had a really obvious title like 'easy going walks round sheffield' and contained mainly walks that are suitable for wheelchairs etc

there's also the sheffield round walk booklet - available from places like the cafe in endcliffe park

Have a look on this (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/showthread.php?t=140898) thread. One of the books often mentioned is The Star's Family Walks book. It's a bit ut of date at times, but the main routes are fine.

dronfield rotary walk is a nice steady walk which has a lot of back tracks so you can make you own trail to suite your style. i would really get a back carrier for the baby has there are a few rivers and thin path ways. if you need any more information i would behappy to help

:)
