It's been on here before but Snuff Mill Garage behind Tesco on Eccy Road do a good reasonably priced job.

The garage on Marston Road in Crookes is good - 2676128.

Carnalls [Autocentre Ltd, 2 Mulehouse Road, Crookes, S10 1TA] are an absolutely terrible garage.
Please take my advice and avoid them at all costs (and believe me, it will cost you *not* to avoid them...)

Between us, my partner and I have had the displeasure of their services four times:

Each time, the car in question needed to be returned within a week, as the original 'work' had not been carried out to a satisfactory standard, or was discovered to have not been carried out at all.

With each return, the receptionist warned that they were very busy and so wouldn't be able to take the car immediately.
Ironically, perhaps if they completed the work to a decent standard the first time, they wouldn't be so busy having to fix their own mistakes.

Upon taking our cars to different garages we have discovered that Carnalls:

1. Clearly didn't remove inspection plates for MOT work
2. Carried out unnecessary repairs
3. Charged for non-existent repairs.

Avoid these rip-off merchants.
Ask any car-owner in Crookes and I'm sure you'll hear similar stories.

I was a trainee at carnall's years ago they were robbin sod's back then an it does'nt sound like they've changed much

brooklands service garage, brooklands avenue fulwood, its behind the parade of shops, they do m.o.t servicing etc, have known rob who owns it for years, i live in s5, but still take my car over there for the m.o.t

Hi highly recommend:rolleyes:Gelders Volvo specialist on sharrowvale road. Although they specialise in Volvo's they look after all makes and models of cars.
they have been going for many many years and the owner will really look after you. All their customers have been going years which I think says a lot.
