View Full Version : Prog on Major J Hewitt

Did anybody see this prog the other night? I am still not sure if it was for real as it was just like a Harry Enfield sketch.

The man was a complete d*** head and what any woman could possibly see in him I can't imagine. All I can say is that Diana must have been desperate at the time (though he did say that he was a big boy). He had cerebrally challenged women falling all over him. Perhaps he had a big wallet too, though he hadn't worked for 12 years and had no visible means of income.

I couldn't help but notice more than a passing resemblance to Prince Harry. Anybody else noticed this?

I watched it under the assumption that there would be some insight into his relationship with Diane....boy was I wrong!!!

He did not do himself any favours and came across as a right muppett. Living the highlife and not having the means to fund it.

I don't blame him for wanting to flog the letters he was right when he said that 99% of people would do it.

Highly unlikely that 99% of people would be as nasty as he is. If so, I'm leaving the country...

I though that if he needed the money and this is the only way he could get some money then a lot of people would do what he is doing. The letters he claims are worth in the region of 10 million. The Royal family are rich enough to buy them off him........thats if they do not want the contents to be publicly scrutinized if they are sold to the public.

The only reason why no on will buy them is because no one wants to **** the Royals off. Hewitts solicitor approached the major auction Houses (Sotheby's etc ) and they wouldn't touch the letters, probably because the queen is their best customer.

James Hewitt is a cad Sir, and an unprincipled one at that, he used his position to wheedle his way into Princess Dianas affections
and used her for his own selfish purposes, my friend and I always say that he is the father of Prince Harry as he is almost identical in looks.

He took advantage of a vulnerable woman who was emotionally disturbed and desperate to be wanted and loved, then discarded her when he had had his wicked way.

The man would have been executed for treason in the days of Henry The Eighth and now the ultimate betrayal of trying to sell her letters to him, stripping her memory of all dignity that she possessed, tells us what kind of a blackguard he really is.

ok maybe it would be morally wrong for him to sell the letters, however if the Royals wanted to, they could buy them off him in order to prevent the contents of the letters being divulged and also to protect Diana's memory. ...so why don't they do it?

10 million to the royals is 'nowt

Well said, Halevan, I couldn't agree more.

You're not the only one to say so, although Hewitt has denied this, and red hair is a Spencer trait

And give in to blackmail? Besides, I don't think Hewitt would have the principles to leave the matter there

Hewitt lives off a military pension and income from property and investments. I doubt he's broke

Can we please just let her rest in peace?

10 million to the royals is 'nowt That would not guarrentee protection.
What if he photocopied them and passed them down to his sibblings to be used again in 100 years time.
Any kind of scandal in the Royal household lives on forever and this will go down in history as would every other scandal and they are many.
The Royals would destroy the letters only for Mr Hewitt of 2103 to bring in the copys.

he would of course have to sign something to the effect that he wouldn't pass the contents of the letters to a soul via any medium

That he has seriously considered publishing the private letters shows he has no integrity whatsoever. I wouldn't be surprised where he to publish them anyway - should he ever find himself unexpectedly short of a few more million

he'll probably have the same fate as his lover if he does this....there are dark forces at work in Buck Palace

Well why shouldn't he sell his love letters? He's entitled to be a celebrity; his son is second in line to the throne after all.
