I accidently snapped one of my squash plants in half right down at soil level. I have repotted it in some damp compost and put it in the shade. How long will I have to wait for roots to regenerate?? Is it a lost cause?

I have quite a lot of butternut squash, think the one i broke was a decorative squash but I guess I will get over it. I would quite like one of your Dill's atlantic giant pumpkins. I have a "hundredweight" giant pumpkin spare if you want to trade? i think i will be around on saturday, weather permitting.. You on hagg hill?

No, I'm at Meersbrook (S'8') and will be around Sat / Sun - or S11 during evenings.

I've got some spare Turks Turbans which are beautiful to look at - they are home saved seed, so not quite sure how they will turn out. http://photos1.blogger.com/blogger/3449/2027/1600/Allotment-Carload-%20-Sunset-2006-10-12---019.jpg

PM me if you want to try and meet up. Don't need anything in return.
