Right well I'm nearly at the finishing persuading the OH to let me have a bunny (I love rabbits, they are almost as good, no no no BETTER than hamsters!)

I really want a miniture breed and have researched bunny flavours and have come up with a netherland dwarf (that and it was the most cuddliest when I went to visit a hutch full of buns)

Where would be a good place to find such a beast of fur? Are they ever put up for adoption (I've looked on rescue websites and have only found larger flavours of rabbit)
Help would be very appreciated :D

I'm currently on a bunny collection scheme, every time I do something out of the ordinary and worthy of mention, whether it be very brave or just down right good, I get another bit of bunny. When I've collected all bits I get to get the bunny! So far I've accumulated 4 paws and a tail, just 2 ears, a nose, mouth, whiskers, head, back, bum and tummy to go! And I'm going driving today which I hate so I reckon i'll get an ear or two for that!

We rehomed one a couple of weeks ago, no more currently but if you search on www.rabbitrehome.org.uk by breed type it will find some for you however.....most rescues only rehome pairs or into pairs!

I'd be happy to take a pair.

Nothing on rabbitrehome that I can justify driving to.

Can anyone recommend a reputable breeder?

I have a gorgeous little white one boarding with us at the moment that I know came from a local breeder. I will ask the owner who they got her from if you like on their return, if you haven't found one by then.

It's been a few years since we got our Netherland dwarf from Pets at Home in Rotherham but I have seen them pop up in there quite regularly.

We never seen to get nethies in at the moment. Quite a few cross breeds and a lot with a polish mix.

I'm rather partial to dutches myself. I love their characters and they're so inquisitive.

We have got the most beautiful rabbit in at the minute. He is to all intents and purposes a Belgian Hare, but his coat and colouring are not characteristic. He is a grey rex. His coat is amazing and similar to the feel of a chinchilla. He has the most fantastic curly whiskers and eyebrows/eyelashes lol

He came to us some time ago, but we turned him away as we had concerns about his skin. I asked the breeder to bring him back when he was sorted and he has done.

My deputy has fallen in love with him and we can't decide between calling him Hector or Barney. Something tells me she'll be adding another to her little menagerie. Good job she's got a bloomin' big garden ;)

Anyway....I'm waffling. It's a good job I live in an apartment or I would end up falling in love with too many animals!!!
