Who else remembers 'Sweatershop' at Meadowhall in the early 1990s. They used to sell lots of very colourful jumpers, sweatshirts etc. They seemed pretty popular but closed.

View Full Version : Who Remembers Sweatershop at Meadowhall? slimsid2000 10-05-2007, 13:14 Who else remembers 'Sweatershop' at Meadowhall in the early 1990s. Geezer 10-05-2007, 14:39 I think he did, he was the one who appeared on all the adverts. Sultana 10-05-2007, 14:48 I remember it being there, but never went in. If manufacturers want me to advertise their goods on my clothes - they need to be paying me, not the other way round! simone1975 10-05-2007, 15:00 Exactly what I was going to say Sultana. I would have felt like a walking advert. On the same note - does anyone remeber Bankrupt in town. I used to love it in there .. dugarees, hooded tops, millions of pairs of jeans .... retrokez 10-05-2007, 16:55 was bankrupt the one with the bell near the door which you could ring when you bought a pair of jeans?.. Sheff2006 10-05-2007, 19:43 Wow! I certainly remember Sweatershop at Meadowhall. They had some gorgeous clothes in there. Really nice and bright and different unlike the drab samey clothes around at the moment. I also remember Bankrupt in Sheffield as well. Opened about 1986-ish I think as I can remember getting some 'Ice' jeans in its early days! Ahhh memories lol. babelicious 12-05-2007, 15:29 I used to think that the "sweatershop" was great, there was a time back in the day when you were classed as quite trendy if you donned a "sweater shop top". |
