Hillsborough Arena would like to say a big thank you! to the kind person who stole our car boot banner that was on the park railings on Middlewood Road. If anyone knows of it whereabouts would they please let us know.
As a reward to the person who returns it, there will be a bacon sandwich waiting for you in the cafe and a couple drinks at the bar.

Hi, I am from Sheffield Uni and was thinking of writing a story about you banner dilemma as I am studying Journalism. Where was your banner displayed and when was it stolen?

Thanks
Georgchi

Hi georgchi :help:
Thanks that would be great, we need all the help we can get.
It was stolen from the park railings on Middlewood road and it was last seen Sunday evening and noticed missing Tuesday Morning.
Give us a call and we can tell you more.

You have to wonder why someone would do something like that - how much use are they going to get out of it exactly? :loopy:

Presumably a drunken "acquisition" - hopefully someone will see sense and return it!

I don't think the council removed it as it was right next to another one which is still there advertising the tea dances in the pavilion.

Weesie - I would have PM'd you but I can't - don't know if this is any help but I walked past said banner at 12.15 on Monday and it was detached from the fence and lying on the floor - I picked it up and tried to put it back on the fence but the string had been broken so I put it back up as best I could - so it must have gone missing after then. I did try and save it for you! :)
