This is not your bog standard re-homing request more of trying to find a better more suitable home.

Breeze has been with us for about a year and a half now. We homed her from the free-adds as a companion for our other two cats. She's your typical moggie, white/tortoiseshell and thrives on attention and love.

Her age is more of a guess as her old owners were unsure. We think around 12 years old. She had a dental when we first got her, as her teeth were a mess and she had two teeth out. She's spayed, wormed, flea treated, micro-chipped and homoeopathicaly vaccinated. We feed Burn's dry biscuits and she has a few fresh fish meals a week.

We were told when we first got her that she was good with other cats. This is certainly not the case. She will tolerate them from a distance but will lash out/growl if they come to near. This has made it so she has isolated herself in our house in the attic room and we only see her when we go up there to fuss her or when she occasionally ventures downstairs which usually results in a small scrap with our other two cats. This has been the situation ever since we got her and its not improved.

This arrangement is certainly no bother to us but we feel due to her advancing age she would be much better off in a home as an only cat so she can wander as she pleasures with somebody around most of the day to giver her the attention she needs.

Breeze is a confident cat and doesn't fear much. She's extremely affectionate towards humans and loves sitting on your lap. She gets on with our dogs well and wont hesitate to put them in there place. She's primarily an indoor cat and fully litter trained but does like a wander in the garden on a sunny day for short time.

We are looking for a very specific home and if we don't find it she will stay with us. We would be happy to transport her any where within the UK as we would want to see her new home. We would also want references where possible. It would be a condition of re-homing that if the new owner couldn't keep her for WHATEVER reason she would come back to us. We would want to stay in touch with the new owners. Anyone interested in her needs to be aware that vet bills are more likely the older she gets. She will be fully vet checked before leaving for a new home.

Please PM me if you would like further information or you think you can offer a suitable home.

Good luck to you finding a home for her. I have a similar cat, except that Robin, when she found that the other cats could climb the step ladder into the attic, has now taken up residence in the sitting room. Fortunately, she only truly hates Mozart.

We have a senior moggie, Minty, who came from my mum's - she lives with 4 barmy young cats and a dog, but prefers to stay up in the attic because she too has issues about the animals she has to live with.

We had Minty with our old Moggies and she was fine with them, but when they all passed on and we got the dog and then the barmy youngsters, she was not best pleased. Having said that, she seems perfectly happy having her own space (the other cats feed upstairs but they tend to sleep and play downstairs). We have the radio on low for her, we go upstairs and give her lots of fuss every day when she needs it (if there's time one of us takes a book upstairs, listen to music and she naps on our laps) and she has all mod cons at her disposal - climbing frame, window seat, comfy bed, a cat-it water fountain and toys and litter trays.

In some ways, given her age, it would be a shame to move Breeze on again as she would have to go through all the trauma of change and adpation all over. She may be happy to stay an attic dweller, with some modifications, but if you still prefer to rehome /think she hasnt' fully settled with you and needs more attention as a single cat, then good luck finding her somewhere.

good luck- like Breeze, our Minty is very wary of other cats -she's an indoor cat, agraphobic, does not care for our other cats much and is terrified of the dog, hence she practically lives in our attic. Fortunately in our case, she gets daily visits and fuss because all the cat parphenalia is upstairs - food, litter trays etc (as mentioned in an earlier post), plus the other half is a bit of a hifi addict and disappears upstaisr for hours to listen to music, so she gets attention and lets him know when the music is to offensive... All the best, hope you can find her a happy home soon xK
