View Full Version : Amazing Photographs
DaBouncer 29-07-2003, 21:33 I stumbled across this site by accident, as I was looking up Storm Chasers on the web.
Check out some these photographs (especially the electric storm ones); they are out of this world.

:o Is that a real photo? Poor little sheep :(
It's one heck of a mock up otherwise. It was posted on a walking site that I found today by accident so I can't see why it's not real.
Looking at its position it looks as though it gave out whilst scambling over the wall. Nothing edible will last very long on the moor at this time of year with all those birds, foxes, rabbits, mice, etc, all on the lookout for winter food. I can't imagine that it took more than a couple of days to pick the bones clean.
Oh thats awful! Oh Tony, you've put me off my dinner now lol.
I guess it is a great photograph though.

I'm not sure that it is real. Scavengers like foxes will drag a carcass and pull limbs off it and scatter remains, they never stay intact like that.
Crows won't and they go through 'em like lightening.
Like I say, I just happened to find it on a walking site, posted by the site owner so I don't see any reason for it to be fake. I only clicked in that section because it was Stanage Edge.
Here's the original page (http://www.walkingbritain.co.uk/walks/walks1/w090.shtml). There's nothing more than a passing comment about it.
I've certainly come across of whole skeletons before, so it's nothing unusual to me. I just thought it was an amazing photo because of the 'moment in time' position of the skeleton. :)

Having looked at it again it isn't intact there's a few bits all over the place. But - looking at the big pile of wool toward the back of the picture I get the feeling that's where it died and someone has moved it to the more amusing position!
The picture is a p88s take. It is not possible for an animals body to be in that position. The backbones would fall apart as thy are not interconnected Good Joke Tony
