don't people queue for the boxing day one at meadowhall from like 3.00am or something
i can't believe people put themselves through that to save 50% on badly made clothing that is hardly expensive to start with...

I once inadvertently found myself in Next on Fargate during sale time - oh the naivety. Talk about the vultures have landed!
Took me about half an hour to struggle from the back of the shop to the door, and got there just about in one piece.
Now I avoid Next sale time like the plague!! :D
StarSparkle - probably serves me right for trying to shop there in the first place!
I have been to the Next sale once and never again. Why fight for things they were selling 2 years previous?

I worked in the Next xmas sale when I was 16 and had flu. It was horrendous. People were just buying things because they were cheaper than they had been. I don't how people can be bothered with all the chaos.

As the saying goes:
A man will pay £20 for a £10 item he needs.
A woman will pay £10 for a £20 item she doesn't need.

I wouldnt be seen dead in anything from next. If you buy anything from there guaranteed youll see 10 other people wearing it within the week. The stuff in the sale is all tat they must drag up from some big pit where they throw all the stuff that never sells from the last 20 years. I never understand folk who queue up and crowd round at the sales.
I found a few really good shirts and loads of stuff for Mr Strix in the Yorkshire Outlet branch. Ded cheap n'all. Used to hate NEXT but Mr Strix kinda converted me. I'm still not the boyish shape one needs to be to wear most of their stuff tho. :hihi:

I used to work in the one in meadowhall and the reason why its hell is because all you muppets go on the sale day.
Everyone knows its full of crap from years ago so there's no point wasting your cash or time.
Do something else with your time thats half enjoyable instead of fighting in the cattle market.

Absolutely spot on mate.
Whenever there is a Next sale on, I book the day off work, to hold my wife prisoner in our house. Luckily a close friend of ours now works for Ventura so we take her with us when we go Next shopping and get her 25% discount - OFF CURRENT items, NOT last years stock, put out because they can't sell it anymore at normal price.
