i was reading the paper the other day and saw a article that was complemeting the purple bar/club on saying how its smarted up and the police cometing by saying other clubs shud follow the example/standards set by purple. i must admit wen i was walkin past the other day on my way to gatecrasher i was shcked to c bouncers searching people as they walked in. do u think its worth taking a trip in on shud i stay clear?

My view is to pull all that block down that it's built in. It looks horrible from the outside, a nice coat of white with a hint of orange, red and other:confused: Inside is probably no better it will always be the same.

Ive never been in but when i drive past it theres always a swarm of dodgy looking teenagers milling around outside often venturing on to the road in their nightly hilarious antics. The girls often look under 16 and malnourished (or the exact opposite), wearing very little (even less if the latter applies) that looks like it cost very little. The boys are often seen gathered in a huddle around the corners and mysteriously disperse when a police officer is around - i really cant think why.

No i wouldnt go here if i were you.

Having never been allowed in by the Bouncers for some reason I can't really comment. But from what I've heard I'm pretty glad I've never ventured inside.

I used to go there, when a) I was much, much younger and b) getting p****d was the main object of a night out.
These days, however, I wouldn't be seen dead in there.

it will always be Berlins/Uropa, unfortunately full of dirty old men and tarty girls. If someone isnt fighting, then a girl is on stage getting her top off. quite gross really. although music is usually quite funky. toilets are disgusting and the place generally stinks - in more ways than one.
only go in if dragged kicking and screamin, hate the place. Remember Gossips? mmm!

Gossips was awfull too, everyone turned away from Berlins went in there.

I think thats the place, I've never been but I've heard about it.

It's not Bar Coast - it's the old Bar Centro place just down from ASK and wetherspoons - i think it's called Stardust(?) now.
Bar Coast is further up division street and now just called Central Fire Station - totally different place, and only revolves when totally out of it!

oh yeah! bar coast used to be cool, but went down hill too. anyway back on PURPLE.... shut it down

Remamber the place when it was Berlins and if I remamber rightly when it first opened it was quite upmarket.

Went in about a year a go- walked in- bought a drink- walked out again! leaving the drink :( the palce is a dive

i have been going down every wkend for the lsat 8 wks or so (because my m8s love the place) and its got worse.
Everybody is eitha underage or "overage".
You've got the 30-40 year old men going in there to pick up the 16 year old girls and then you've got the chavs and the badboys!!
One of my m8s sister who is 14 has been in twice and not even been asked for id!!

I for one hope they don't pull it down. If they do all the idiots might start going to the places i like an ruin em. Leave the inbreed idiots to it in berlins!!!

I used to go in every week when i was underage and just starting the long road of going clubbing at the weekends. I only went in because it was very close to republic and they didnt ask for ID , i loved going but only because i had no where else to compare it too. Went to a couple other places and realised how ****ing **** it was and i havent been in about 2 years (im only 20) its a dive that is seedy as hell. I once had a pint in there ,it was served in a dirty glass , watered down and flat.....nice(Y)
