Was thinking of having Lillies, not sure if to a few on each table or just one and have some candles. Would like something different so just wondered what other peeps were having or had!

We had white linen, big terracotta pots planted up with tete a tete daffodils, and little terracotta pots with candles in, both wrapped in raffia so they looked the same. A really big pot of daffs in the centre of the table, then little pots with the place settings, so everyone got a growing pot of flowers to take home with them.

My favours were little hand sewn navy blue velvet pouches which were lined with gold satin (same as the velvet wraps that the bridesmaids had- got married in February) and tied with gold cord and they just had almonds in. I was lucky in that aspect- my mum was on bed rest in hospital and sewed them all for me in the run up to the wedding.

Since mine was a winter wedding we went for lots of colour- my corset, skirt and coat were wedgwood blue and everyone else wore navy set off with gold waistcoats or linings. Flowers were daffodils by the thousand and very dark blue professor blauw irises, and we lit the whole room with thousands of floating candles in bowls on wrought iron stands and the table decoration pots.

I'm having mirrored metal cube pots with the flowers and foliage from my bouquet in, they are going to sit on metal trays which will have sweets in (instead of favours). Hopefully going to get colour coded napkins and table covers. Considered candels but I think it will all get too cluttered. So probably just the plants and sweets and then plates, glasses and food etc!
