Can anyone help me with this.
I know I have to wrap some kind of frost protection around the top of my tree fern, where the leaves come out, but do i wrap the whole trunk too ?
I asked at the garden centre but the guy wasn't sure.

What exactly do you have? I work with two gardeners and they are very in the know. I can let you know what to do after I ask them.

You don't need to wrap the trunk. Just get some straw and cover the crown with it and then wrap it up in bubble wrap. The idea is to stop the crown getting wet (it will rot if water gets in and freezes) Keep it wrapped up until all chances of frost have passed and you should be okay.

Cheers.
I was wondering if bubblewrap would be ok.
I'm guessing I have to wait for the leaves to fall off, or should I do it now, before it gets any colder ?

I don't know what type it is, it is just a big (about 5 foot) trunk with about 6 big frond things comming out of the top, it's like the ones in the Winter Gardens.
