I'm lazy and I know you people like showing off your knowledge so....
Sheffield to Matlock (more specifically Wirksworth) in a car, how's it done?
thanks :)
Multimap.co.uk. Prod the directions tab at the top of the screen. It's a bit difficult to see, but it's there.
Quickest - probably M1, off at J28 for A38. Come off for Alfreton then out to Matlock.
Shortest - pass the Fox Inn going towards Hathersage, turn off down for Grindleford and follow the road to Bakewell (or through the Chatsworth estate). Then A6 to Matlock. 22 miles for me.

Get on a 214 TMTravel bus from Meadowhall or Sheffield. Surely the easyest way. Get to go through Chatsworth as well, these drivers don't hang about either!
