I'm going to be doing some storytelling at events this year, mostly for children.
I'm looking for some stories that:
Involve the natural world - forests, trees, animals
Can have magical elements - especially faeries and boggarts and such that inhabit the outdoors
Will captivate listeners

Any help gratefully appreciated!

Thanks

Peter & the Wolf is a good one as it is set to music, it used to captivate me and spark my imagination when I was a kid.

Thank you, thank you.
Both lovely ideas. And Nomme, thanks for reminding me of the Green Man site.

Any more ideas for slightly shorter stories as well?

Did my story - Mikku and the Trees.
Made all sorts of little props, as well.
The story went down well, and a couple of people assumed I was a professional.
Hmm....a new career? :D
