Im currently with a large insurance company, last year had 2years no claims premium was 700 quid, this year no accidents, no convictions, one years more no claims etc etc, new qoute a massive 1200 quid??

how can they justify this when ive just had a qoute for 550, just because you have to pay it they don the highwayman mask a rob ya.

Anyone else notice their premiums have rocketed?

shop around on the internet. You should get it cheaper, unless of course you have changed your motor to something really expensive

Churchill tried to do this to me a few years ago. I dumped them.

Try TESCO's. When you have your quote you can make it even cheaper by clicking TESCO 'Value' Insurance. They also sent me a £20 cheque. It was £200 cheaper than the company I has been with previously - who had sent me a higher renewal too!

My renewal from Tesco £340,no changes except another 1 yr no claims bonus.
Saga £180 same conditions.
In other words shop around.

what annoys me is the speed camera thing. went up to nine points once. ok my fault. but why should that affect my insurance when i havent claimed for 10 years. so if someone has points but have never claimed they are more a risk than someone who has protected claims but keeps having bumps!

They just rely on people being lazy and not shopping around.

Because it proves you're either a careless driver or a driver who thinks the speed limit doesn't apply to them. Thus a higher risk.

i got mine reduced by £100 with the same company for more cover by getting another quote online!!

rang them up and asked them why my renewal price was so much more than online quote.. so they honoured the new quote :D

I can vouch for Adrian Flux, but they are a broker, not an insurance co.

Haven't found an online quote yet that beats what they have come up with for the last 4 years (and I trawl 15+ sites at each renewal date).
