My PC won't turn on and think the power supply has gone. Anyone know a good place where I can take it for repair?

Cheers :)

No I haven't..it has been on the blink for about a week. A few days ago it was taking about a minute to switch on if I left it before pressing the front button. Now it doesn't work at all.

I have used Aladdins Cave on Middlewood rd before now, I find them very good, and very reasonably priced.

Sheffield Computer Services on Taplin Road aren't bad either.

Ooh hark at me recommending somewhere who isn't PCW! Next thing I could be saying Sony aren't the anti-christ! (Don't hold your breath on that! :D)

Once my PC wouldn't turn on and it turned out to be a duff bios battery.

In any case a PC power supply is a very simple thing to change, and they're not expensive.

Um, no :loopy:

Maplins are nothing like PCW, they aren't as big name for a start, and their staff actually know what they're on about in there.

The Hillsborough one opposite Morrison's is brill.

yeah, i think there's a better chance of getting someone who knows what they're on about in Maplins... but don't take it for granted that they all do...

Sorted it! Turned out my graphics card was a bit loose and was preventing the whole computer from starting. Thanks for your help! :D
