After telling others about the forum I promised to write about the group for single parents.
Hillsborough One Parent (HOP) group meets at Burton Street Project, Hillsborough on a Thursday evening from 6.00pm - 8.15pm. There is an adult social and support group and a large hall, craft room and creche for kids aged 3 months to 18 years. Each room is monitored by a playworker, giving you the chance to relax and the kids have a good time.
It's £2 each week and benefits one parent families as a support and social group.
There are currently approximately 19 adult places left.
The group has been running for a number of years and has included events such as holidays to Butlins, trips out for the kids, parties, discos and lots more.
If you would like to join or make further enquiries please call Vicky Foster Smith on 0114 2966159.
The Burton Street Project is located just off Capel Street on the last right before Hillsborough Barracks turn off on Langsett Road, turn right again onto Burton Street and the Victorian school building on your left is The Burton Street Project.
