Now i'm going to look really sad! I saw Westlife about 6 times when i was younger! I really loved them, i think they still sing good but when i look back i feel so ashamed because i was obssessed!! I saw the Spice Girls when i was about 7! Destiny's Child, Nelly (he was very good  !) Ronan keating (how embaressing!) Daniel Bedingfield, omg i've forgot who else, i've been to loads more but i can't remember! Who have you seen? No matter how embaressing!

I've seen none of the above.

I go to gigs quite often so a difficult question.

The most embarrassing one i think was perhaps Brother Beyond when I was 17 and i screamed my little heart out for the gorgeous Nathan.

Best gig i ever went to was Stereophonics at Donnington.

Most embarrassing one last year was Tom Jones.
Best one last year was Jet who were fantastic.

Best one this year was Ash.
Not been to anything too embarrassing this year so far although I have been to a gig where there were only about ten people there (The Shakes and Sidecar).

Last one was Arctic monkeys.
Next one is From the Jam 12th May if I don't go to see Clone Roses and Mummra inbetween, which there is a strong possibility i will.

Aaaah, Sham 69 - saw them 3 times, I think it was, myself. People have never taken them seriously, but they were one of THE VERY BEST live bands I've ever seen. Absolutely fantastic live - real rabble-rousing, blow the roof off the barn type stuff.

Rock 'n roll performed as it should be. Such a shame Jimmy Pursey could be such a d***

Worked at the Leadmill for 7 years so saw hundreds of gigs, mainly from the little bar!

Best ones for shows were Don Valley and the Rotherhides, Per Ubu and Wolfsbane! Wolfsbane F**king rocked!! They had 100 fans come all the way from the Vegas of the North (Blackpool!)

Other crackers, Gene Loves Jezebel, Roachford and That Petrol Emotion at the Nelson Mandela (separate times obviously!)

Best gig ever seen, The Housemartins with The Proclaimers supporting at the Octagon.

Worst gigs seen, Massive Attack at the Arena. Far too big a venue for them, no atmosphere and left after 40 minutes!! Can anyone remember Westworld? They had a hit with Sonic Boom Boy. They played the Leadmill to 17 people, and 9 bar staff!

The Clash
The Cure
The Buzzcocks
Joe Jackson
Luscious Jackson
Big Country
The Family Cat
The Fall
The Mission (!)
The Pretenders
Half Man Half Biscuit
Aswad
Arctic Monkeys
U2
Status Quo

Those are the ones that readily spring to mind. The Quo were appallingly tedious to listen to. Best of that lot? Probably the Monkeys at the Leadmill.

It would take me all day to write out the bands I've seen. I've seen all the bands I want to see now, apart from Smashing Pumpkins, and I'm seeing them this summer so that's pretty much it. All the other bands I want to see, I can't because they've either split or have deceased members.

Same here, used to go virtually every week to gigs. Went to America and saw 30 seconds to Mars couple of months ago, and saw em again in Liverpool last week. V Good. Placebo more times than I care to mention, but the biggy for me too is Smashing Pumpkins. Got weekend tickets to Leeds, but can't get the Friday off work yet!!
Oh, and finally got to see The Cult in America last year, absolutely fantastic blast from the past. Ian Astbury looked a bit too normal for my liking tho..I remember him looking like a nutter!

Yep, remember Slaughter and the Dogs well and they provide a tedious link back to my first post in this thread and Sham 69  Me and a couple of mates had tickets to see Slaughter and the Dogs at the Uni back in January 1979 however they didn't turn up, leaving the support band (Sham 69) to 'headline'. Not surprisingly I'd never heard of them - they hadn't even released their first album (Tell Us The Truth) never mind had any chart singles. They went down a storm and the rest is history
