Hi Folks,
Does any of you guys use Azureus, I just installed it on my machine after formatting it, it worked before but now the nat firewall test is showing error all the time, i've tried different port numbers but to no avail, what else could be wrong.
Thanks in advance
Janey

If you use a router to connect to the internet you might need to set up port forwarding on it. I had a similar issue with Emule. The router documentation should explain how to do this. More information is available at azureuswiki.com/index.php/PortForwarding and azureuswiki.com/index.php/NAT_problem (sorry, forum won't let me post links yet!).
Hope this helps.
Rick
I had the same problem - I had to uninstall it after weeks of fiddling around with the settings. Way beyond my fiddling ability.

You'll have to set up port forwarding on your router. Try: http://portforward.com/help/portforwarding.htm
I haven't bothered though - it still works, but i probably dont get the best speed possible.

have you tried using uTorrent?
http://www.utorrent.com/
* Multiple simultaneous downloads
* Configurable bandwidth scheduler
* Global and per-torrent speed limiting
* Quick-resumes interrupted transfers
* RSS Downloader
* Trackerless support (Mainline DHT)
another vote for uTorrent here - its very light on the processor too, as well as practically configuring itself with a few simple setup steps. Have tried almost all the torrent clients and have found this to be the one that allowed the fastest downloads.

Torrents are old hat. Get a rapidshare account.
You need to set a static IP address on your machine, then set up port forwarding in your router to that address.
I used Azureus many moons ago and compared to uTorrent (which I still use now) it's no way as good. I can get 100kbs+ downloads which I could only dream of with Azureus.

Bitcomet works well for me. I have not bothered with port forwarding, me too lazy!

I use azureus, bit slow but been working fine with a few tweeks and attention have heard good reports about utorrent, can you run both progs simultaneously during crossover to utorrent? don't wanna ruin my share ratio and lose unfinished torrents.
