My 13 yr old is convinced there is a 'Warhammer' shop in Sheffield city centre; in other words NOT the 'Games Workshop' at Meadowhell. As he is at the side of me as I type, he believes it is called 'Warhammer World, but Yell.com and Google don't support his theory. Any help appreciated.

Maybe try Wargames Emporium in Orchard Square? Go up the steps near Waterstones, then through those blue double doors, and its at the top of the spiral staircase. I think they sell Warhammer?

Hi,

There's a Games Workshop right at the bottom of the Moor - Fitzwilliam Gate (road between the Moor and Charter Row/Moore St); should meet all your son's Warhammer needs.

Tel 0114 275 0114

Patriot and the Sheffield Space Centre do not do Games Workshop products

but yes, theres a shop in Orchard Sqaure that sells Games Workshop stuff, but its sorta difficult to get to

basically get onto the balcony, theres a set of doors in the middle of it, walk in, and theres a spiral staircase, go all the way to the top, and look right, there you go

The only Warhammer World or anything of that sort is in Nottingham where they make and produce the figures, as has been already stated, there is two Games Workshop shops in Sheffield, one at the bottom of the Moor and one in Meadowhall, there is also the Wargames Emporium, but, not sure if it is reachable at the moment due to the work they are doing on the Orchard Square.

no its reachable, all of the shops are still open despite all the work, its just very off putting with all the construction work going on

As posted above, Games Workshop - bottom of Moor.

Out of interest, is there something specific he is after? I've a load of original Warhammer figures from the 90's (lead, not the rubbish new plastic tat) that I was going to stick on eBay.

PM me if you are interested or after something specific

Orchard square one would be alot cheaper and alot more friendly i only ever went to the games workshop to get the codex... i dont play now but seriously go to orchard square one.

There is even a place connecting to the orchard square one in one of the retail parks towards meadowhall where you pay 2 quid to get in and can play warhammer, card games etc etc all day was good.

I was'nt even aware of the Orchard Square outlet, to acheive perfection in your Hobby, you must only buy The Best!!
Lead figure's every time! The acrylic/ enamel just does'nt lay the same on plastic!

Have you tried E-bay???

There is a Warhammer museum at the Nottingham HQ by the way, thats cool.

I used to play this but got put off when I went to Games Day in 1999 and saw the sweaty nerdlings aged30 and above who obviously never grew up and decided to pack it in if I ever wanted a girlfriend.

I'm not sure that one's still open. I went past today and it was shuttered up and pretty dead-looking.

18 months after my post I doubt that the OP cares anymore.
