As above, are there any cafe's open all night? A search brought up a completely blank page.

I don't know about all night, but if Greasy Vera's is still around they stayed open

That's true. You watch films and in the US it seems like no matter where you like (in the city or out in the sticks) you can go to a diner at any hour of the day or night. It'd be nice to be able to go out for some cheap and cheerful grub in the wee hours.

We need one like Bar Italia in Soho, of course immortalised on Pulp's Different Class LP.

I can't think of one, although there are one or two establishments open quite late such as Pepe's.

I think you are best off getting a room for the night quite honestly. I believe there is a list of B&Bs and hotels on the Sheffield City Council website - www.sheffield.gov.uk

if you want a cheap place to stay, Etap is a good option £32 a night I think its per room

I dont understand why sheffield (a big city) doesnt have a late night cafe whereas manchester, newcastle and others do!!

Like you said, it doesnt really make sense..if you have had a late night, say, if you were working you do want to get some nice cheap food and not have to depend on spar and pizza shops. Maybe we should all club together and start one up!!

Used to be a fantasy of mine to run one myself since I was often a night owl when living in Preston and we were lacking anything like that there as well. Would be somewhere friendly for students to study as well as librarys can often be lonely and depressing.

us too, me and mr discodown went as far as a business plan, to open 8pm thursday night and close 8am monday morning. No alcohol after 11pm till midday, light snacks good range of hot drinks/shakes/smoothies and fruit juice and we'd sell lollipops, gum and have a canyfloss machine (tho that was for me!) Would have been a winner, but hey, things get in the way and all that....
