A quick question,

I am planning to go to China for work reasons at the end of June. I will be staying in Beijing and Shanghai only, do you know if I need any jabs?

Call your doctors they will tell you what you need.

No jabs are "needed", as such, just recommended. But I've been travelling to major cities in China since 1998 without having jabs or any problems. If you're at all unsure, best to contact your GP for advice.

No, but make sure you take your own toilet roll and practise your squats. You'll need them...

I had polio, tetanus, hepatitus and was advised to have yellow fever if I was going to a specific area....that was 7 years ago though, so things may have changed.

:hihi: Yes, take plenty of that. Some areas are more developed than others, but not all places are apparently. Mentally be prepared for the culture shock. I would take some basic painkillers or paracetamol, antihistamines etc. Which costs nothing here, and you know it works.

Beijing and Shanghai are more developed cities. It's not out in the sticks, but I would watch what you eat generally though. You may not get used to the food. I'm like that too whenever I go to HK for a couple of weeks. I sometimes have a 24 hr bug which lasts a couple of days, and then I'm fine. Just make sure you get a good sleep on the flight and build up your defence system.
