They were probably passing through to the Macdonalds down near Darnall then.

Or maybe to the Asda at handsworth they love it there!

I was going down Staniforth Road about 3.15 yesterday with a pupil when about 5 police cars and 1 van went screaming up towards Darnall in the opposite direction (the urge to turn round and follow was almost unbearable), then when I went through again about 8.15, they were still there outside the Yorkshire Bank so whether there had been a raid or something I don't know...........

We went along Staniforth Rd about five ish yesterday and the police were still there.
One or two of them where dressed in full riot gear and carrying full length sheilds.

There was also a few plain clothed peolpe there with clip boards taking details from cars and I think photos too. They seamed to be with the police but wernt in uniform.

Milling around was a good fifty or more youths which when all put together with the police presence adds up to trouble.

Police......... luv em. Where would we be without em? Most of them are hard working conscientious people but like everywhere else you get the malingerers. One bobby i know keeps having weeks off at a time cos of his 'little problem'. God knows what it is hes the fattest bloke i know and theres nothing little about him.

Was it a member of staff trying to commit suicide from the roof?
