View Full Version : Wireless mouse problems...
My wireless mouse keeps flashing red, sometimes green, whats the difference, we put new batteries in yesterday, also now the arrow keeps freezing in one place, i can get it to move but it takes a while, then it happens all over again.
Would it be anything to do with the flashing red light changing to green for no reason ?
Thank you i'm going off now as the arrow will hang up again.

Second day...still keeps getting stuck
Want to give us a clue what make and model wireless mouse you have?
What does the manual say about the light sequence?
Sounds to me like you may need to re-install the driver software.
Go to the manufacturer's web site and download the latest version and that should sort it out.
Also check what's around at the time. My DECT phone occasionally interferes with keyboard and mouse, particularly when answering a call. Not always, but sometimes.

Guru, thanks for your reply, I talked to AOL tec chat, they told me to try, IE and word, still same problem so it might not be the mouse, maybe a virus, they told me to check spyware and virus, don't know how to do that , I have no trouble typing but still freezes and hangs up, seems to be getting worse.
have to wait few min to be able to send this.
sallonoroff 25-04-2007, 14:41 Try a 'wired' mouse - if everything is ok, then it is a 'wireless' issue (whether that be interference to the signal, low battery power in the mouse, other hardware problem in the mouse, problem with usb ports, etc ...)
.
Thank you Moonlight & Guru, problem solved, it was the wireless connection, we put in a wired mouse and wired key board that we had as a back up, works fine now, the wired mouse is going to get some getting use to i think, never used one before...thanks again.:|
