Candy de Bobo - on the occasions that she is sweet:gag:

Candy and a currant bun - thats why we named her, the Pink Floyd song ( she was Syd but didn't have the right equipment!)

:o Joe thats terrible :hihi:

I know..... :)

The first cat we had was called Curious and used to get called Mr C.

We used the name before the Shamen did, though. ;) The one thing C did have in common with the Shamen was a predilection for recreational pharmaceuticals in the form of catnip. :)

my cat, jasper (jazz) is "diddle-jazz", "biddle-biddle-puss", "Tiddle-cat" and "Magnifi-cat", by turns! oh, and he's sometimes "cooking fat" ( ) (depending on how cold or wet I am getting, standing on my doorstep, shouting him in when it's bad weather)

my dog is "poodle", "daft-dog" and "puddle-duddle", mostly, and "crisp-monster" if I go to the pub with him, and he's begging for crisps.

Was gonna start a new thread but I thought "no way can one not alredy exist" and bingo! Here we are.

Despite having the excellent name of Fluffy B*****ks, I've taken to calling my ex-stray "Puss-ums" or even "The Puss-ums" which doesn't sound at all gay outside :hihi: Mum shortens his name to Fluff since that's more acurate these days, that's the first thing she sorted out when I brought him down here. :help:

And the snakes sometimes get addressed as "Snake-ums", it's a habit I got from the last house I lived in, I remember telling one of my housemates I was off to the shop to get food for the puss-ums and he said "Oh, don't forget the gas-ums" I put him in hysterics when I told him I'd found cat treats by the name of "treat-ums" and "milky flake-ums".

There is an exception to that rule at the moment, thanks to Mum my gargoyle gecko gets called Fatty cos of his funny little fat belly (funnily enough). His real name was Rusty because of the orange specs he has but it hasn't stuck yet.

If anyone uses some really embarassing names that make them look stupid in public that'd be great to hear about ;)

I had no idea how similarly silly people were!!! Our pets get a number of names I have already seen on here, usually their own name ending with moo, boo boo, pops, mops, bops (one of our dogs also responds to boo boo!) though they all sometimes get called 'shut the F up' when the dogs bark hideously while our deaf cat follows us howling at the top of her voice until she gets whatever it is she wants when all you want to do is just go to the toilet first! What can I say other than nobody is endlessly patient :)

This has got me thinking.

One of my cats is Tiggie, the Tigster, the Tiggulator, the Tiggybeast, the Tiggoid Lifeform, Tiggywig, Tiggywiggy and Tiggytiggywig.

The next in age, is Jessie, Jess, Miss Jessie and JESS-EEE (as in "don't even think about it")

and the third is Molly, Miss Molly and Good Golly Miss Molly.

Not sure why Tiggie gets all the extra names as I don't think I am biased (or if I am it is towards Molly as the other two pick on her).

Our Bonzo is just 6 months old.....but I have two "pet" names for him..

Poochy poo - because as a puppy he left lots of poochy poo!

And Rah-hoo......because it is one of his noises....we take him on Middlewood Park and he retrieves a thrown squeaky toy....this is his favourite activity.

So during the day he would get all excited and make this rah-hoo noise....I started repeating it and he would bring me something to play with....I then realised that he wanted to fetch....so I would throw the toy across the living room and he would repeatedly bring it back....but I didn't understand why he used this rah-hoo noise.....until I accidently stepped on his squeaky toy and what noise did it make......RAH-HOO....going on try it yourself.

How cute is that and how stupid is Mummy!
