Hello
Similar question here to the thread about the Manor. We're struggling to find areas we can afford and would be interested in hearing anyone's recent experiences of living around Pitsmoor or Burngreave?
Ta very much :)

I live on Burngreave Road and Andower Street runs behind me, 4 houses have been for sale recently and they were all snapped up within a week. I really like living in Burngreave, the people are friendly, loads of good local shops, easy to get into town, good transport links etc etc. Once the inner ring road is finished and we can go back down Spital Hill it will be even better! I have been here for 4 years and have not seen any trouble and are happy wandering about at any time of the day or night. It has a very diverse range or cultures and faiths and used to be a dodgy place, as a result it has a stigma attached to it from 15 years ago but that stigma is fading, I even had an Avon catalogue shoved through my door the other day! People who feel uncomfortable in multicultural areas probably won't like it but for anyone else it's becoming a really nice place to live. Lack of cash points has been the only annoying thing that comes to mind.
There's massive investment in Burngreave/Pitsmoor. The area is definately on the up. I have lived here for 27 years and have seen the low points, you name 'em....
But, looking now, as neeeeeeeeeek said, house are snapped up in days which can only be a good sign.
