Did anybody see this?

If I didn't know Jon Ronson was actually a proper journalist and had read his stuff before I would have thought I'd switched on a Brasseye spoof kinda thing!

Firstly, I know he's an investigative journalist and it's his work, but surely he can't hear his own narration and think it's good?! It sounded hilarious.

And secondly the content! US military setting up special divisions where men try and master the art of walking through walls, quote some general "I never quite managed it, just hurt my nose a lot"

And, most bizarrely, the men who stared at goats and mastered the arts of killing them by stopping their hearts.

Oh yeah, and in the 60's they tapped into a hippy vibe and some guy drew up a new battle strategy of invading a foreign land and sending in friendly lambs to hug the enemy and defeat them with love.

I can't wait to see the next one on Sunday night!

my mate was telling me about it yesterday. Wasthat the guy who said he'd killed a hamster by staring at it, but wouldn't show anyone the full video because it would be offensive.

yeah, that was it.....he did show the video...there were 2 hamsters...and he just stared at them, then one just keeled over and lay there.

He stopped it then because seeing it die would be too painfull for a "lefty liberal" as he put it.

f'weird man.

Im defo getting his book, his last one, Them, is ace.

haha...yeah, but can Stan kick the mormon boys ass?!

He said the hamster was his pet...he'd had it a few years but it was annoying him by running on its wheel one night...so he killed it by staring....and videod it.

Those crazy yanks ;)

Next weeks will be ace....seriously, watch it.

It's supposed to sound funny. He is first and foremost a humorous journalist.

I didnt mean what he was saying, I meant his voice and the way he speaks. I know it was intended with humour.

I THINK that it was Jon Ronson who gave me a great deal of pleasure watching him panic on TV a year or two ago.

He'd been taking the P**s out of the guy in the US who was convinced that some people from something like the Bildergerg Group, the Illuminati or the Church of the Foresaken Zebedee were after him for some reason.

He and Ronson ended up driving soemwhere and then...started being followed by a mysterious sedan car.

Ronson started to move in to the area of human behaviour that is usually equated with a serious laundry bill for your underwear...:)

It was SO funny!

Yeah, that was him. It's all recounted in his brilliant book called THEM, which I can't recommend highly enough. I've just starting re-reading it.
Basically, they decided to stake out one of Bilderberg's meetings, and so Bilderberg "scared them off".

The Guardian have the chapter in question online here (http://www.guardian.co.uk/weekend/story/0,,449181,00.html).
