There's loads to choose from such as norton internet security 2007, mcafee internet security 2007, etc etc.
I'm looking for a good antivrius and anti spyware program.
Is Zonealarm internet security suite any good?......
AVG by Grisoft for AntiVirus. There is a free version but it takes some finding in Grisoft's website!
Keep windows firewall on. It may not be perfect, but it is another line of defence.
Ideally have a firewall that is not running on the PC you are trying to protect - ie. get a router that has a firewall capability.
Lots of other stuff routers can do for you in security too.
Avast anti-virus
Zone alarm Firewall
Spybot S&D
Spywareblaster
CCleaner
I have run these on my computers for over 6 years and never had a problem (Touch Wood ) and the beauty of it is they are all FREE :)

WinPatrol is one security program no Windows PC should be without!
I've had it for 2 years and it has alerted me every time any changes that have been made in my registry.
It alerted and stopped a nasty trojan that was trying to open itself and execute on my PC. This trojan got through my firewall and my antivirus.
WinPatrol is very light on resourses and comes Free (The version I have),
or you can pay for a more advanced version.
It's just been voted by CNet's consumers as their favourite antispyware program, I totally agree with them! Check it out, you can't lose!

In tests in computer shopper they said that Kaspersky (http://www.kaspersky.com/) and Steganos (http://www.steganos.com/) were the best. There pretty much the same software. Setganos is £8 cheaper than kaspersky though . It was in the April 07 issue where they did the anti virus software tests.

Never had any problems running free AVG Anti- spyware, Anti- virus and Anti- Rootkit. All Can be found on SF here (http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/faq.php?faq=vb_faq#faq_sf_computer_help) All three are from the same source (grisoft) so no conflicts.
+ Widows firewall.
I use a combination of AVG and ZoneAlarm, and apart from that time I got hacked last year, I've never had any problems.
