Thanks xxx melthebell 22-04-2007, 19:12 http://members.terracom.net/~dorothea/cakes.html google does :) http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=%22vegan+cake+recipes%22&btnG=Google+Search&meta= lizzmobile 22-04-2007, 19:32 I drank a vegan cake on Saturday. Reight nice it were  Gypsy Hack 22-04-2007, 19:36 My friend has a really good vegan recipe for tiffin. If you'd like I can email her for it. Ann* 22-04-2007, 20:14 My friend had to make some vegan finger foods for a couple of her guests at a party. I remember she used Trex in the pastry, because it's apparently made from non-animal products, so I'd assume that would be the sort of thing you would look for with other baking methods. lizzmobile 22-04-2007, 20:16 Ann* you've scared me now, what is it made from? Is it paraffin wax? It is just so WHITE! :help: Ann* 22-04-2007, 20:23 Vegetable oil.....nothing sinister.:D CharleyF 22-04-2007, 22:35 This is my favourite: http://www.veganvillage.co.uk/recipes/chocfudge.htm The cooking times are a bit random though, 30-35 mins works for me. Also some here: http://www.vegansociety.com/html/food/recipes/cakes.php If you have any recipes that use milk and margarine/butter but no eggs then all you need to do is use non-dairy milk (e.g. soya/rice/oat) and vegan margarine (look for the Pure brand in supermarkets or Holland and Barrett). Sponge cake-type recipes sometimes work without eggs by adding a teaspoon of extra bicarb mixed with a few teaspoons of 'milk' to the mixture just before it goes in the oven. nick2 23-04-2007, 09:39 Why torture yourself eating that crap, have a real cake, one won't kill you. Rubysoho 23-04-2007, 12:30 If you want to splurge on a book, this (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Vegan-Cupcakes-Take-Over-World/dp/1569242739/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/202-0741177-4403030?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1177330968&sr=8-1) has some gorgeous recipes in (albeit in the form of cupcakes, but you can easily bake them in a cake pan). If you fancy looking at more pictures of vegan cupcake goodness there's a flickr pool here (http://www.flickr.com/groups/vegancupcakes/). Alternatively if you go here (http://veganforum.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=36) there's an entire subsection devoted to 'sweet' recipes that has a fair few cake recipes in it.....including this http://www.gorgeousvegan.co.uk/trufflecake.html which I made for my birthday - and is the best chocolate cake I have ever tasted!!:) lizzmobile 23-04-2007, 12:56 Why torture yourself eating that crap, have a real cake, one won't kill you. KJ_VENOM 29-04-2007, 08:02 how can you say dont post on a public forum?? all she wants is some nice vegan cake recipes ffs whys everyone gotta kick off, just ignore the whole post if it bothers you. i actually read this post because i was curious to how one would make a vegan cake, but for someone to say keep your opinions to yourself on a public forum is a stupid statement. melthebell 29-04-2007, 10:07 I drank a vegan cake on Saturday.
