are there any soap fans out there!
i love corrie, eastenders, emmerdale, neighbours...
what do you think about martin and katy in corrie, i think i'ts disgusting!
i mean he's old enough to be her dad.
does anyone agree that gary in enders should stick by his baby or do you all think that he should forget it and stay with lynne?
I'm not a great fan of soaps. Used to watch Corrie when I was at University. Lost interest. Eastenders has to be one of the worst soaps ever...the acting is very substandard and the stories are always depressing....doesn't anyone get a break?!!! My mums addicted to soaps and I think its quite sad

I did used to watch em years ago but not any more.

IMO the acting is very wooden and story lines are of very poor quality

Aren't soaps just there for people who don't have anything to do in their own lives, so have to watch other peoples?
*I only reallly hate them coz my girlfriend watches them all the time ;)

I avoid watching them like the plague unless I go for a complete holiday and wish my brain to take a leave of absense too.
Like recently - the effects of watching a weeks worth of enders could take months to recover from.

Soaps are a load of bull, who needs them? only like a hole in the head, I watch them to please my girl friend, when we are together, but I would never watch them when alone.
Some fools think it is reality and send wedding gifts, and presents for a baby, they cannot be serious, can they? It is all a fantasy world and cater for those who can't face up to life.
kittykat 19-08-2003, 13:55 theyre just a bit of light hearted entertainment they cause no harm you either like them or dislike them. Plenty of people like them, including me. I know when you think about what they are they sound rubbish and the concept of watching fake lives sounds really sad but i watch them all the time and it never did me any harm. There are worse things out there. At least theyre not too violent and dont use swear words.
Martin and Katy's relationship is very uncomfortable to watch god knows who dreamt up putting those 2 together, same goes for Janine and Barry... errrr. oh and tracy and Roy (apparently Steve is Tracy's baby's father and roy tries to commit suicide)
is that true about steve been tracys babys father?

Eastenders has always been crap IMO, I sometimes watch Emmerdale when I'm at my Parents, and I watch the Corrie omnibus on Saturdays, they should bring Brookside back IMO, and The Bill (which wasn't technically a soap, it just went likw one towards the end).
I do watch Neighbours though, purely because I'm in love with Kate, Sonya, Jade and Susan.
Not a lot, they are all the same crap- I've stopped watching
