I'm thinking of taking up free running and wondered if anyone had any tips. Although I am 38 and have a bad back and my feet are killing me, I was thinking of learning to do this on a busy Saturday afternoon on the moor. This would include, vaulting bedroom furniture (apparently for sale), Leapfrogging the homeless and dodging piles of food waste and dog and pigeon fecal matter.
in researching this i have learned these few moves:

Roll - This technique starts from an elevated position, for example on top of the monkey bars. Jump from the elevated area toward the ground while holding the body upright, as if free-falling. Land on both feet with your knees bent, letting the resistance of the ground flow through (not bending your knees will result to serious injury). Then lean the head and either shoulder forward toward the ground. Push off with both feet to roll on the ground using the back. Presumably, the momentum is enough to carry you back into a standing position coming off the roll.
Monkey Vault – this can be done either from a static position or a medium paced run up to the rail. Grab the rail with both hands. The hands should be spaced on the rail more than the shoulder width so that the feet and the rest of the lower body can pass between the hands. Jump on both feet and tuck the knees into the chest. In mid-air, push back with both arms to thrust the body straight forward (thrusting the legs sideways can take out the arms and lose support). Land on both feet.
Superman or Dive Roll – Run toward the obstacle. When the obstacle is only about a step away, jump forward on both feet. The midsection should be arched over the obstacle. Hold both arms in front to anticipate the landing in a diving motion. Both hands should land simultaneously before leaning the head forward on the ground. In a smooth motion, the upper back touches the ground and the rest of the body follows in a roll. The momentum should carry you back to a standing position, and continue the run.
I tried a Superman over a semi empty stall at the end of the moor and nearly ended up through Greg's plate glass window and had to have have a lie down and a steak pasty to settle my nerves. Later on, I also tried a monkey vault in Atkinson's and ended up with a bruised coccyx and a stern reprimand from the woman on haberdashery.
Does anyone have any video equipment to film the said run? I'm sure we would be the talk of the Internet; not to mention south Yorkshire police. Free your mind: RUN SHEFFIELD!
