I would say that Im quite a calm and peaceful person, I try not to let people antagonise me, especially on the road.

However, was in the car last Sunday sitting a queue of traffic as the outside lane of the dual carriage way had been closed. Anyway everyones sitting there, bumper to bumper when I get to the front of the queue, this pr**k shoots down the outside and cuts right in front of me. Just to say - I lost it, beeping and swearing, flashing me lights, if I could have got out the car before he sped off I really think I would have ripped his face off.

As I say Im usually fairly calm, but this complete inconsidertion for ANYONE else just winds me up to the extent I could quite happily cause physical harm.

So what winds you up to the extent you feel like this?

Your first response is from a cyclist!:hihi:.
I really hate it when drivers deliberately swerve in to the edge of the road in front of me so i can't ride past. It also p****s me off when drivers decide to turn a single lane in to two lanes ie: Where Manor lane meets with City rd.

Was he driving a BMW or a chav-mobile ?

We had an Aden cannon from an old hurricane fitted under the bonnet for such occasions but haven't dared use it yet because the bloke who fitted it wouldn't guarantee the recoil woudn't shove it back into the front passenger seat. [and the smell of cordite makes me puke]

One of these days though....

Oi not all BMW drivers are Chavs.

Most chavs can only afford the cheap variety of bimmers!

DB - calm down,...calm down, it was only a dig :D

And I did make the distinction BMW or chav-mobile.

Some of those 'classic' BMW drivers can be a little impetuous.

it is annoying if someone cuts up a queue, but on the other hand (playing devils advocate).
When you see that a lane is closed ahead, should you immediately pull into the non-closed lane, leaving a nice empty stretch of the other lane before it reaches the cones, or should traffic queue equally in both lanes and filter in nicely at the point where the cones actually close the lane?

Only ever 'nearly' come to blows once and that was in Ranmoor of all places

Big 4x4 shot through a red light (was no where to be seen when the light was on green for me..) Braked, blew the horn, he stopped in the middle of the road, abuse followed by hand gestures (which I returned in favour) Honestly thought he was gonna jump out of the vehicle and give me more abuse..

Sorry but in my driving test I was required to stop at Red Lights
