Hey, I used to go to Roxy's Nightclub in the mid 80's into the 90's, fab place many a good times. Woman were easy to pull in there, just a great atmosphere. I remember well the 50p a pint Wednesday Nights, hey great times. Shame it's shut, rather sad as used to be a gold mine.

Only problem is many memories are rather blured, wonder why?

Bless, what a blast from the past!!

I had many a good night in the late 80's at Roxy's. We'd get there early and go around nicking the crappy free bottles of plonk and streamers that were out on the tables. The plonk tasted cr*p, but if you downed enough bottled you got hammered.

I think it was the only place where you could get in at 15 no probs and they used to let a massive group of us in all together without any hassle.

Ah, the good old days................fingerless lace gloves, shoulder pads, big hair, oh, and throwing up in the loos half way through the night!!

LOL :hihi:

Ye, Pink the girls were following plentiful at Roxy's in the 80's, sure I saw you there?

lol

You've got to admit it use to get packed wall to wall. I couldn't (and by the way still can't dance for toffee), but with the volume of people on the dance floor and the lights going, I'm quite sure I look as smooth as John Travota?

Well that's what I thought, after the a good few pints.

I spent a few Saturday nights there in 86 or 87. At that time one of the last records played at the end of the night was muffin the mule. I remember the reports in the press about the odd light falling on people.
