What are people thinking why on earth would you put your child at risk ?????????????
I just walked up from picking my son up from nursery and a car speed past with 2 kids in the back and one in the front all without seat belts climbing about the car .
I am sorry but whats it take to stap your kids in 2 minutes , whats it gonna take to make it hit you that you children are at risk ....
I am so proud of my son he is 4 and he always puts his belt on no need to ask , (even in black cabs!!!)

The big problem is that people don't realise that not wearing a seatbelt is illegal!

It also particularly annoys me when you see kids climbing about all over the place - mum/dad nice and secure in the front but if they had to brake sharply, the very least that would happen is that the kid(s) would end up on the floor - the worst is that they come flying over the top and crush parents - hence the old TV ad 'The killer in the back seat'.

Thing is, if you've got your seatbelt on it makes it hard to get the mobile out of your pocket when it's ringing, especially if your eating a Ginsters or something at the time.

put em in box, or get em in boot with those grids across so they cant jump on all seats inc drivers

You can actually buy harnesses to restrain dogs. Somehow they clip into the seatbelt.

Why just old people eh?

Some of the most hazardous manouvres I've seen taken by drivers have ironically had 'children or baby on board' stickers on the back of their vehicles.

i dont like those stickers, people should drive nice whether they have kids or are pregnant or whatever. i said old people cos i have only ever seen oldies do it, i could be wrong though

I've grown up always wearing a seatbelt, so its just become habit to wear it now, I think nothing of it and I make sure any passengers in my car are belted up before I set off.

A couple of my friends though dont always wear theirs and my nagging hasn't changed their minds.

The worst I saw was a small hatchback (Metro, I think) with the kids climbing about IN THE BOOT! The parcel shelf had been removed, and they were stood facing out of the back window.

I wonder what the driver thought would happen to her childrens' legs if someone went into the back of her?

Oh wait, sorry, that only happens to other people :o
