I was on the bus today and it was one of the old mainline stock.

In the centre aisle on the roof there was a black box with LEDs similar to the Trams.

Whats this for? Was there ever a trial on the buses for a next stop system?

I think a trail was carried out on the 51 route a few year ago. Also i think a trail was due to be carried out on bus stops along that route with a digital display saying when the next bus would be (like you see on the London Underground).This is long over due in my opinion as the tracking system is used in other cities i am led to believe.
