Once more the world's leading scientists have found another way to help avert the deepening environmental crisis, by producing low sulphur, carbon neutral diesel from pig fat.
That's right, turning animals into fuel.
I can't help thinking, sometimes, that we really do bring it upon ourselves.
Cue humurous porcine/car/football references.

****s sake.
We don't need to use pigs. Or fossil fuels.
The inventor of the Diesel (Rudolf Diesel) engine made it to run on peanut oil.
Sound idea!

Aren't we always being told how similar pigs are to humans?
The discovery of how to make fuel from people sits badly with our record on exploiting natural resources. Soylent green and the low-sulphur version beckon.

I'm more worried about the far right seeing this ........
It will take a lot of clever marketing to make me, at least, accept using fuel made from animals in my vehicle.
I dont mind eating them, for that essential, but this is a step too far.

And the Chinese.
Don't they already exploit the human remains of convict labour? :gag:

Don't think it will catch on in the Middle East :P
i ran a diesel car on veg oil for about a year. it cost about half the price of diesel. in cold times, if at not all, its best to put a bit of diesel in with it to dilute it, it can thicken, specially in cold weather. only draw back is the smell. smells like a mobile chippy going past. you have to register your using it and pay duty this way rather than at the pump. i did that, yeah right.

Now, this is just an idea, but perhaps we could solve our fuel/environmental crises a little, just by subsidising junk food, and collecting taxation through liposuction.

Got to disagree on this one mate ;)
I haven't eaten piggies or any animals since 1979 and I haven't keeled over yet :D

Ooohhh - The USA always wanted it's own huge resources of fuel.
Little did they know..... :D
