myself and some friends are going to the arena saturday night but we are wanting to have a drink first and then have a bite to eat,i know there are lots of restraunts down the cliffe but was wondering if anyone knows if any of the pubs do meals say around 4.30ish-5 and if so are they any good

I always liked the Cocked Hat but only eaten there when they have had free pub grub on, which was fine (considering it was free).

White Rose at Handsworth, not too far away. Food cheap but very good. Rump Steak for £4.95 etc etc.

I'd plump for Carbrook Hall myself.

Check out the menu if you like. Cheap food, large portions and good quality.

Just old-fashioned no nonsense pub grub IMHO. The Ultimate Burger is great!

Brewsters at Arena Square is good, and they do a gorgeous steak and ale pie with Boddingtons in it. Not sure what time they serve food though...
