We bought a big jar on Friday that will hopefully see us through until then, but if we can't get any in for the festive period, I don't what we'll do.

Christmas just won't be the same.

I adore the stuff. I eat it neat, straight from the jar!

Lovely stuff.

Hey, that's a good rumour to start the panic buying!

Maybe not, It happened to Mars' Twixes a few years back. Big fire in one of the ovens. No twixes in the shops for months.

I see, you would have thought that a company with the distribution of Branston would have had more than one factory

Is it only available in england? or do the Italians and French enjoy it with their cuisine too?

Seems to be true though:

You could try making your own:

Looking on yahoo seems to suggest that its a british thing as there are a number of sites offering to ship it to ex-pats.

Abit off topic but during the same search came accross the anagram for Branston Pickle is 'Torn Black Penis' - Ouch!

Mat

Sorry I'm with panda on this I can't stand the stuff but those of you that do like it have you tried some of the supermarket brand sweet pickles - not sure which one it is that does one now it's a while since we've bought any for obvious reasons but it might be worth a try.

It will be a rumour. Hendersons relish also start off the same rumour every year.

As far as Branston goes, keep it, I would rather lick my own a**e
